Dot matrix tint on side windows looks bad (pics)

Hey Guys,

I did a lot of research and decided to go with Tint Plus here in SoCal. People were raving about them on this forum. I got Pinnacle F1 and overall it came out great. The dot matrix on the rear window looks good but both my passenger and driver side windows look pretty bad I think.

Does this seem normal to you guys? I took the car back to the shop this morning and they ran over it again and this was the result. They tell me that this is "the best they can do" but I still think it looks bad.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Now I'm glad I didn't get tint in the front. The only way to alleviate this problem is by getting vinyl over the dot matrix.

I haven't heard of anyone having problems with the dot matrix on the front windows.

Try another installer.

The common problem on E92's is the rear upper window where the 3rd brake light is.

If they said that's the best they can do... that's gotta be BS. I got mine done at Tint Pros in HB, f1 (but not pinnacle, fwiw) and the dot matrix on the side windows came out perfect. You can try letting the car sit in the sun for a few days to see if that makes it better.

+1 Back Window can be a problem but it really depends on the installer and the tint. I got Huper installed and it came out perfect on the side windows. The rear window came out like 90 percent, which is fine for me.
This is the side on mine -

Ouch... that's really bad especially on the side windows. Hell, that would be a bad job even on the back window, imo.

Just take your thumb/finger and push the excess air out. Same goes for the rear windows

+1

And keep doing that every couple of days wherever you see the air and the
dots will look perfect.
