iPOD integeration!

Hello,

I ordered a fully loaded canadian model e92 335i, I would like to hook up my ipod with tghe car in such a way so I can browse it on my nav screen and control it via sterring and stereo controls.

My question is this possible with fully loaded e92 without any extra accessories?

I called my sales agent and he said I need ipod adapter which will cost $1000cnd installed, is that ongoing price or am I getting sucked in?

What are my options here?

It's a ripoff price, at least for the US. US $$ list for the MOST iPod Adapter is $319.95. BMW estimates 1-1.5 hours labor for dealer installation. In the US $500 should cover it. Currently $500 US is about $570 CD, which would be a fair price.

Do a search on this topic - it is well covered.

I had it installed for around C$700 inc. taxes (GTA). You do need the MOST adaptor and dealer activation. You can install yourself but its a major hassle and still requires a visit to the dealer for coding. The solution works extremely well and rounds off the entire entiertainment experience. It you have iDrive, the MOST adaptor is a must.

I have latest adaptor (MOST, has the various menus: playlist, artist, genre, podcasts, etc) and it cost C$700 installed so C$1000 is expensive. I've no idea what the previous adaptor cost.
