Navi Package - Canada - Help.

Hi,
I ordered my 328 and I didn't order the Navi Pkg. In Canada it costs CAD$ 2900. I thought I will use my Dell Axim as the GPS. Now I have my second thoughts on it. Mine is a Dec production. So I still have time to change the order. I am not sure whether the dealer is going to charge any Additional charges for changing the order. So here are the questions,
1) Has any one changed their order Prior to Production, If so what is the Process?
2) Any feed back on Navi Pkg VS Dell Axim ( Or any PDA with GPS)

Thanks

You can probably change w/o any difficulty while car is in status 11 (Order Accepted at AG). When it becomes 12 (Order scheduled for Production) they assign a production week and I don't think yoiu can change anything at that point.
Work with your dealer they know better.

Thanks Man. I have one more question for you. How can you track the Order Status? I have the Production No but I can't the OC website (US) doesn't recognize the CAD Production No.

Garage List
actually, I changed my order (added sports package) after I received my production number without any problem. The process went smoothly, just have to sign some papers and that's it.

I had to bug the two local dealerships to get status updates. Kind of feel bad about calling them once or twice a week.
Actually I offered them do develop a system with a web front-end that will pull status data from their internal system. But the two local General Managers and Sales Managers basicaly said that they don't need the additional headache of having this system and that the sales guys are happy and willing to give status updates. :rolleye:

Usually you receive the production number when you place your order (if the dealership has an allocation available for you). This is status 11.
When the order becomes status 12, they don't accept changes AFAIK.

Don't wait too long

Whatever you do, do not take too long to change your options. I have iDrive/Nav which you will not regret, however, I wanted to get the sports package added, waited too long and it could not have been done. Still love what I got though..
