I'm on board....finally able to punch my VIN# in on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics website and see it was "loaded on vessel...."

Like I said yesterday, it's getting very real around here....BMW ownership that is.....

I was looking at the other posts, and i saw a couple of live pictures of aislive.com. I tried going to the website, but you need to have an account. ....I wish one of them would help us with an updated picture of the freedom, so it could make our wait time alot easier.

I just asked the captain on his satellite phone to setup a web cam looking at my car, to make sure an older M3 or something doesn't bump into her, he said he'll do so after he's done eating his supper. j/k

I went and registered at that site, and the tracking was 7 days old, like it was coming back from North America? I'm not worried, I feel the ship has to meet its schedule so it'll be in NJ on 11/26.....if the VPC turns our cars around in 48 hrs., wow. If not, that's ok too....(I say that now)

HEY, I am onboard too. 335i Monaco, Saddle. ED Zurich Drop off, Oct 30th.
Two more stops for the Freedom and then on to NY.
The anxiety is even worse when you already drove your baby and was taken from you for a few weeks !!. Hopefully the release is fast and truck to So. Fla. is fast too.

Has anybody heard of a delay once on the VPC due to the 335I's some module has to be reflashed or something ? Saw it on a thread in this forum.

I'm on board. I didn't think I would be this anxious but now that it's on it's way and actually ahead of schedule in my mind, I can't wait. I wasn't expecting to pickup the car until Mid-December but it looks like I will be getting it the first week of December now!

Is anyone else in the New England area? I'm in Massachusetts.

i am in s. fl and have a graphite 328 on board. i dropped it off in munich on nov. 3rd. the wait sucks, i am driving my 98 accord.

haha I hope I don't change my attitude when I finally get my car, but I know it will be hard. I have a 1998 Nissan and plan on continuing to use it as my daily driver. Plan to keep the BMW a long time, so I would like to keep the mileage low initially......but for people like us a new 3 is quite an upgrade, huh??

Shäferhunde thanx for the update. I knew somebody on the freedom was going to get the membership for the site. The wait is killing me, i order my car on october 2, and i still didn't get it. I'm looking at allmost 2 months before i get my car.



and by the way, John 070, you going to catch yourself making excuses to drive the car ex: break in, party to go to, work,wan to get there a little faster, before you know it the bmw is going to be your daily driver and the nissan will just be sitting there.

I think you're right about the excuses...but I think what will keep me from driving it daily is not wanting to park it at work, any bad weather, and also knowing that I'd probably hit 50k before 4 yrs. Since I plan on keeping it, I would like to make sure any issues are addressed while under warranty for the longest time period possible. My friend with an E46 ZHP said I used to laugh when he paid $120 for an oil change, soon I wont be laughing (like to do it 7,500)

I can definitely see myself investigating all the features and components of the vehicle though. I think one of the first things I want to do is memorize the barcode on the rear axle cover....not!!

I dont know about you guys, but i would be more excitted seeing the FREEDOM then the queen elizabeth 2. The freedom has better features inside. Like a TWIN TURBO DREAM MACHINE ( BLACK/BLACK) 335.....

So now we have about a 9 -10 day wait for it to arrive in New york. I cant wait.:rocks:
