AR Designs elbow with two bungs
I just got my AR Designs elbow with two bungs specially made for me with the polish finish!..Thanks Andrew, the welds on the bungs are nice and neat.. I used a M10 nozzle from SP because their nozzle has more thread than others and I was able to thread it into the bungs and make it even to the inside surface, other nozzles it would be a little bit recessed from the surface!
Shiv I am waiting for you son to come out with the meth/nitrous setup! Last edited by cn555ic; 04-09-2010 at 10:25 PM.. |

Looks real good !
since you have it installed already- Question: if I use 1 bung for methanol and the other for nitrious or another methanol nozzle - how is the (elbow installed) placement for the second nozzle ? * Is the second bung easy to get to and has nozzle clearance space? * Also aré the two bungs so close so one nozzle spray can adversly affect the spray of the second nozzle ? Thanks

Very disapointing for me. I have order a silver finish and receive a black finish. And now they have two hole. Mine only one...if I want nitrus..must drill another one.
And the black one...seem plastic finish. put in the basket for me

I am sure you can send it back to them to have another bung welded or even another two to make it a total of three bungs if you want....I called up Andrew and spoke to him for a while...I did request a polish one because that was the scheme of my engine bay, although they don't make the polish one anymore for stock, I am sure he can do something, plus it cost them more money to have it powercoated black anyways!

Just finished up the install...What a PITA to get it on! Took me a while to figure it out!...Take pics later..I have UR cai and its a bitch to work around....Nozzle clearance is fine, but It looks as though one of the DV hoses will be against the N20 hose, but thats minor...Everything fits!

Very nice. Seems like a great product for a reasonable price! I can see why it took a while to get on with that intake piping.

As for the meth bungs clearance there should be no problems, but its tight for one of the bungs closest to the dv hose towards the front of the engine...When a nitrous nozzle or meth nozzle is installed, it will be right against the side of the hose, possibly putting a drop of pressure on it, but it shouldnt be a problem...Look at my picks, its the bung with the brass plug in it...I am going to use that one for the nitrous nozzle in the future... As for the nozzle causing adverse affects on spray on each other, I dont think it would be a problem because the meth nozzle is at the top surface of the elbow, and when you install the nitrous nozzle it extends all the way down to the bottom of the elbow....as shown on this pic of a nitrous nozzle..So both nozzle are injecting at different plane of the elbow...Terrance did some test and found that it did not freeze the meth/water with the nitrous being sprayed because the performance logs didn't show any signs that the combo was effective which leads me to believe that this setup would have no problems either |

Guys, you really need to be very careful spraying nitrous and water/methanol that close. The nitrous is brutally cold and can very easily freeze the water in that spray. I would not suggest spraying nitrous and water/methanol that close together.
NX suggest only using 100% methanol if you are going to wet jet or place them on top of each other. |

Perfect! That is the orientation I would suggest. Go nitrous furthest away from the TB, so you insure methanol gets to the cylinders first. I will have a write-up soon with an additional methanol nozzle that will be progressively activated by the nitrous setup.
