Fuzzy mid speaker in dash

Can I replace this speaker myself? It looks like the a plastic cover can be removed on the dash under window. I don't want to break it if it's doesn't come out. Anybody done this yet.? BTW, it's 06 330i

Yeah, it just pops out with a little persuasion. I ordered the speaker from BSW as well as their tool kit. The tool kit has a blue plastic pry tool that worked great -- but I suspect a butter knife would work too. Whole replacement operation took 5 minutes. Note that to get to the screws (phillips head) holding the speaker in you probably need a socket or an offset screwdriver. The windshield prevents a direct shot.

Is the upgraded center speaker from BSW worth it? I searched but couldn't find a review.

Thanks!

I can't really say -- I mostly listen to talk radio. I only replaced mine because to correct the 'fuzziness' of a damaged cone.
