Xede numbers so far....

This is what I've gathered from the Xede results so far @ the wheels....
Some numbers may be higher or lower but I think these estimates are pretty much the average of what we've been seeing so far online on 4th gear....

_______________________________________________
Stg 0 on 91 octane (Xede only) for Steptronic
approx. - 315hp/327tq (on 3rd gear, +55hp/+54tq @ wheels vs. baseline). The 4th gear run was recorded at 310hp/350tq (not sure what base was for this)

Stg 0 on 91 octane (Xede only) for 6MT
TBD
_______________________________________________

Stg 1 on 91 octane. (Xede + Exhaust) Steptronic
TBD

Stg 1 on 91 octane. (Xede + Exhaust) 6MT
approx. 330hp, 360tq (+60hp/+80tq @ wheels vs. baseline)
_______________________________________________

Stage 0 on 93/94 octane (Xede ONLY) Steptronic
approx. 317hp, TBD tq (dyno issues) (+46hp/+TBD tq @ wheels vs. baseline)

Stage 0 on 93/94 octane (Xede ONLY) 6MT
approx. 330hp, 360tq (+60hp/+80tq @ wheels vs. baseline)
(There are higher numbers "Presamat's", but I figure this is a safe estimate)
_______________________________________________

Stage 1 on 93/94 octane (Xede + Exhaust) Steptronic
TBD

Stage 1 on 93/94 octane (Xede + Exhaust) 6MT
TBD

Hmmm, I do wonder what just the Xede and 91 octane will do for us over in europe.

Will you continually update this tread, vanilla? If so, i will add it to the FAQ as a good reference to go to for actual numbers.

And also before and after numbers...some cars are going to be naturally stronger than others, it's good to say for instance Stage 0 average 45 HP gain, Stage 1 70, etc...

hey bud i noticed a couple of your other posts sayin u want to mix the 100 octane with the 91. are u planning on doing this on a normal basis for your every day driving? I live in socal as well but like to be able to just use normal pump gas. do u have to run higher octane?? i noticed that the results dont show a dyno for 100 octane gas? help me out here please?

Also stage 1 means what?? just an exhaust or is it a better map than stage 0?

Turbo engines react better with higher octane fuels. You use 91, get less hp/tq gains. Use 93, get higher gains. There's a dozen or so places around here selling 100 octane unleaded at around 5-7$/gallon. You want to mix 2 gallons of the 100 with 13 gallons of 91 to get 93.

Your math is off bro. It would be around 3 gallons 100 mixed with 10 gallons of 91 to get to 93 Octane.

Thats alright though, Iceman is about chillin' with the ladies, not hitting the books

you may know what the search button is, but do you use it? the difference between stage 0 and stage 1 is that stage 1 adds an exhaust. thought i'd help ya out there since i know youve been here a long time and know what the search button is.

My bad, No wonder why I did so bad in Chemistry... Well that just means I'm going to have to get a few extra 5 gallon containers of fuel to stock up. I know a place for only 4.99/gal 6 miles from where I live.

I'm looking at some of your posts this morning and you just asked the question below regarding the XEDE:

"???? can u just run the normal 91 octane here in cali??"

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39157

This is why I assumed you did not search so I suggested it....

I hate to ask a dumb question here, but instead of mixing gallons of fuel, why not just add a bottle of octane boost?

Octane boost can help but, bang for the buck, it costs too much for the mild octane bump it induces. On the bottles, they claim a 2-3 point increase which, in my experience, is hogwash. I'd rather mix a gallon or two of 100oct instead if I had to.

Stage 1 consists of an Xede and an exhaust. If you already have a Stg 0 (Xede only), all you do is install the exhaust and update the map on our Xede (using a laptop and the free Xede software that we'll be posting up soon).
