External Hard Drive with 6FL
I have read a lot of threads regarding this, however there doesn't seem to be an up to date list of compatable drives.
My question is can anyone provide a list of compatable drives or suggest a drive which they are currently using which works? I apologise if this is covering old ground but I am currently using an Ipod and would like to have my entire music collection available in a lossless format rather than mp3. Thanks. |

Hi,
I'm a newbie regarding this forum and driving BMW, but started driving a good one at once.. Just got my 335i spacegray last week and drove 1200km's in the last few days. What a machine, what a power. It's immense. I LOVE the new n55 engine. Anyhoo... I got myself a 32Gb USB stick and that's working flawless, recognising id3 tags and all. What I heard from my computerhardware supplier, there are 256Gb usb sticks coming. Another option, try using a cardreader and buy SD HC cards. They are dirt cheap and they will come in up to 2Tb in size. In holland the 32Gb SDHC cards are around 40 / 50 euro's. ps: I did not know I can use lossless, I do have the Logic7 speakerset, but in my opinion it's hard to hear the difference between a 320bit mp3 and a flac for example. I only use flac on my home cinema set, there I can hear the difference. But that's another discussion.. :P Hans |
