M3 rep bumper on 335i - HELP
I recently got the front m3 style front bumper for e90 from JLevi. I got it back painted yesterday and with the new fog light housing attached it lands on the passenger side air ducting. The right side that has less ducting is fine.
Has anyone had experience installing this and ways to work around the issue? I'd be thrilled to just kill fog lights all together but this kit comes with the holes in the mesh for the lights. If I leave the mesh off there are the bars for mounting the mesh that would look silly. |

^ wow great job thanks for putting that up. i heard the same issue from local installers and wasnt sure about getting it since it blocks the brake duct area.
i guess running no fogs would work but then we would get an error code and fog lights do look good when on..... and serve a purpose in the fog duhh lol |

Thanks for the pics, that helps a great deal...I think the only solution would be to shave off the ducting in order to get the fog light housing to fit...but again this is the first time I've heard of this issue...we'll make sure to make a note of this to the MFG...

^ yes it does. thats why im not hesitating to get this bumper or spend a couple hundred more for OEM . the reason M-tech front end and the BMW performance front end are more is because #1 BMW makes them and they comes with the proper air ducting with engineering in mind for the most air flow to enter the brakes and cool them down.
this system is fine for normal use but if you plan on tracking your car its not a good idea to have this front bumper, and im sad to say it too because it looks sweet and the price is great too. |

Removing those brake ducts WILL NOT DO ANYTHING! They are worthless from the beginning. If you look at the fenderliner in front of the wheels, you'll see those ducts just lead to....nothing.
It's very naive and rather idiotic to think you actually get cooling benefits from the stock brake duct system. Take em' off! |
