Caontacted BMWFS about MSD and they had no idea. Help?

I am planning on leasing a 335 coupe and am want to look into reducing the MF by doing multiple sscurity deposits. I'd heard of people having problems getting their dealer to go along with it and they ended up calling BMWFS.

So to preempt this, I decided to call BMWFS first myself. I talked to 2 different people there, each of which had almost no idea what I was talking about and said that they would have to refer me to the dealer as those decisions are made at their descretion.

Can someone point me to the right place to talk to someone in case my dealer has a problem with this? And just to confirm, doing MSD and lowering the MF doesn't lower the money that the dealer is making?

Thanks

I called BMWFS and they explained to me how it works. The dealer has to offer you this service.

I suggest you start by contacting a few dealers in your area.

Ok, so I have a dealer that is already offering me 1k over invoice and the lowest MF, 0.00175. I'd like to stick with their deal if I can. I'm just wondering who I contact at BMWFS if I needed to. Did you just call the general customer service number? They told me there are other departments there who would deal with this stuff, but they only speak with dealers. They would barely acknowledge that the program even exists when I talked to them, let alone explaining it to me.

My only real questions are, 1) who do I talk to at BMWFS if I need to call them and, 2) is it true that the lower MF doesn't at all affect the amount of money that the dealer makes off of the sale?

Thanks.

I called the BMWFS 800 number. Spoke with CS agent and he put me on hold a few times to get clarifications on the MSD question and also the 0.0003 MF adder. Your dealer should offer you this. You are the customer so go somewhere else if they are not willing to work with you.

The deal you've got, 1000 over invoice and a .00175 MF is a pretty sweet deal. I just bought my 335 last weekend and had thought about leasing. San Diego BMW had no problem with the MSD, but I did need to ask for it. You can do up to 7 and it reduces the MF by .00007 each time - so 7 reduces the MF by .00049. No clue about dealer take on the lease, but I gotta think the MSD thing doesn't have an impact.

What is the 0.0003 adder?

My dealer told me I can do the MSD. She said she'd get some numbers and get back with me.

It is a surcharge BMW adds to the base Money Factor for EDs.
