Noob Brake Question

Hey guys,

Recently installed some cross-drilled rotors and performance brakes pads on my E90. I did the install myself, and everything went ok except...

On the rear, those spring clips flew off while driving.

my noob question is:

WTF are those things anyways? They are both on front and back, and I see no obvious purpose for them.

As of now I am driving my E90 with those spring clips missing in the rear.

Is this bad?

Also, I assume I am going to reorder them, so what is the exact name of those spring-clips? Anyone know the cheapest place to buy them??

Thanx,

Peter

They are the anti-rattle clips...they keep the two pieces of the caliper tight. I'd think it'd be easy to hear them bangin around without the clips on.

Tischer has them...or the dealer
