Best Pricing on New 2011 335i?
Hello,
I'm looking to buy a new 2011 335i Sedan. I'll equip it as follows: Base 2011 335i Sedan (manual, RWD) = $37,530 Destination = $875 Jet Black/black leatherette/aluminum trim = $0 Cold Weather Package = $1,045 SIRIUS Satellite Radio = $320 iPod & USB Adapter = $365 BMW Assist w/Bluetooth = $685 Harman Kardon Surround Sound System = $795 Navigation System = $1,910 Total invoice (source is AOL Autos) = $43,525 I live in Michigan. How close to invoice should I reasonably hope to get? I plan to order in June - UNLESS anyone knows of any upcoming incentives that I should wait for (a great price is more important to me than getting the car ASAP). Thanks for your input! |

What is an acquisition fee? Is that the destination fee ($875) that I already listed above? Also, could you explain what the rest of those fees are? You mentioned a "MACO" fee in your last paragraph, but not that you paid it. Is that something I can get out of, also? |

MACO is charged to the dealer. Acquisition fee is charged with every lease deal. On a 2011 335i, it's safe to say that some are paying 500$-1200$ over. There are no incentives besides the 2.9% which was downgraded from 3.9% + and the Automatic rebate. If you have any other questions, feel free.

The money goes back to BMW and from what I understand, it goes towards the marketing budget -- and is very common for dealerships in larger cities. The BMW dealership that I purchased from is located in a smaller area and they do not participate in whatever it is that MACO would get them -- hence saving me $200-$400 |

Is the acquisition fee only associated with leases? I will be buying the car, but I will be financing. I hope that fee isn't for all financing - it's HUGE!
I really wasn't accounting for a fee that large. Outside banks haven't charged me any such fee for my previous car loans. Is it a BMW thing? I would hate to pass up the available 2.9% because of a greedy fee! |
