335is with DCT. Discounts, incentives ?
I've seen several posts about a rebate, discount ,factory incentive, when purchasing the 335is with the DCT transmission.
Does any one have a reference to show the CA to try and get this option discounted? |

Just let him know that you know there is a discount on DCT. That's what I did to get my discount.

I just ordered a 335is with DCT. Anyone have information on this theoretical discount?

335is w/ DCT is my dream car. If there is a discount it will drive me nuts (because I have to keep telling myself that my current E90 is the smart car to keep).

I am interested as well as my car should be here in about two weeks. I emailed my CA to see if he can help and expect to hear from him tomorrow.

Hey! I just ordered a 335is tonight. I had seen rumors of the discount on the forums here so I asked my CA point blank about it and she looked it up and confirmed it. They are also offering a 1300ish discount on straight 335i's that opt for the Steptronic. They're rebating the cost of the DCT on the 335is which is 1435. I have a feeling a lot of dealers wont bring that up unless you ask them about it. After all, it's cash in their pockets if you don't inquire about it.
I demanded the rebate and got it out of them. YMMV Good luck! -AJ |

The reason is probably that the manual 335i cars are very hard to re-sell so they make sure you don't screw their resale value by ordering a manual

What do you guys think of this. I ordered a 335is 6 weeks ago with dct and paid for it. My car is supposed to be here in 2 weeks so do I have a chance to take advantage of this. I called my dealer but my ca is off til Saturday. If they tell me no should I try to get my deposit back and start over. Any advice.

Bruno, it wouldn't hurt to ask them. The worst they can do is say no. You might luck out and they'll give it to you.
I custom built mine last night for a late July delivery and they gave me the rebate. So, if your friend has one coming in mid-July, I would think he'd get it as well. (Providing they negotiated it at sale.) It seems there's a fair amount of wiggle room on the 335is cause they knocked 5k off the MSRP and THEN gave me the DCT discount on top of that. YMMV though. I live in an area where sales probably aren't nearly as strong as some of the larger US metro areas. |

Thanks everyone! I ordered my 335is a few weeks ago. So after reading this thread today, I emailed my CA and he says the rebate is mine. You guys just saved me $1,495.

Basically if they dont let me take advantage of this offer I'm walking away and starting over. The $1400 is significant enough in that I wont mind waiting another 6 to 8 weeks.
