255/35/18 on a E90 M3 18inch rim?

Hey guys i have the stock M-sport rims and tires, but the rear tires lookin really small for being 255.

So i got a deal on a pair of 2009 e90 M3 18inch M rims which are 9.5 inch wide in the rear compared to my current 335i 8.5 inch wide.

If i put the 255 tires on the M3 9.5 inch wide rim, will it give it a wider looking effect? compared to my 8.5 inch with 255 tire?

Will it looked streched? and wrong or wierd?

It will be stretched looking. Here's my 9.5 wide with oem rft tires 255/35/18...

**Sorry for the huge pic.

Your the man Amir!!! That is exactly what i was looking for!

The tire streching doesnt look that bad from the pic? or is it worse in person and looks stupid?

Looks like your rear end the tires look really WIDE!! was that the case in person?

It's really not that bad. Perfect fit would be a 265 imo. I think it looks wider since my car is lowered in the top pic and has spacers in the rear to push the offset to ET30.

Thanks Amir!!

Really deciding now if i should get OEM M3 rims used and throw my stock OEM RFT's on those rims, or just buy 265's to put on my stock OEM wheels.

After looking into this more, i am actually really liking the look of the pull on the tire with the OEM Bridestone 225F and 255R on the OEM 18' M3 rims. Seems like it the style for most guys around here aswell.

255/35 is perfectly acceptable for a 9.5" wheel, the amount/look of stretch will depend on tire brand and sidewall design.

It will not, by any means, be "too much" and is within the manufacturers recommended widths.
