First go at panning..
Hey guys,
I've been shooting with my Sony Alpha 350 for about a year now. I've always wanted to have a go at panning but life is busy and i just haven't had anything to try it on. I went to the skid pan with lots of friends this weekend and thought it would be a perfect chance to give it a go. I used 1/40, 50 and 60 shutter speeds and considering how crap my body / lens combo is and that its my first time i think i did well. What do you guys reckon? CC is welcome as always ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Not bad, but a bit out of focus. What settings did you use? Try a faster shutter for starters like 1/250 just till you get used to it, set your ISO to 100 and set your camera to focus tracking.

iso was set to 100. It was on shutter priority. I used manual focus because sony's take 6 weeks to focus and by the time it focus on a moving object the object has moved and its out of focus again.. Its really quite frustrating haha.
