Yes, Terry is working on it now and has made some progress. He has posted some logging on a stock 335is compared to a normal 335, pretty cool. gonna have to wait a lil longer as he finishes it all up.

It will be interested to see what kind of tuning restrictions BMW placed on the is models. I can't see this car allowing for gains similar to a fully modded 335i with n54.

Since the 335is uses the N54 why can't you just strap on your JB3 or Procede to the ECU?
I'm sure someone has done so already.

I believe that the new N54 and N55's have a new ECU interface, so it's not a simple matter of just unplugging the harness and transplanting them onto the new system, new wiring is involved... But it's better if someone who's actually done this chimes in, like Shiv(PROcede) or Terry (JB3) (or his rep Mike)

Your car will blow up...DUH. Just kidding but in reality, JB3, procede and all the others are not compatible with the 335is yet. Im sure they will have to make specific tunes for this car instead of just using tuning products already available for the n54

terry already said on N54tech the JB3 works on it....just needs a special map..since it has better cooling than the standard 335i it should at least handle the same if not more power...bmw is already throwing up to 14psi on the is.

Are you looking for a tune or a piggyback? If a tune, PM me for more info about Singh Autosport. I have a '10 335i N54. ECU was password protected. 1 hour to download my files & 30 mins to upload and 'Wa-La!' He'll clear all codes including shadow codes. I'm not here to bash any piggyback tuners and I do own a JB+ with BT Tool combo, now up for sale, but I think a tune is the best way to go.
My 2 cents.

I think a flash which just overrides the 335is software is a better bet than a piggyback for the 335is.

Thanks for all the replies. Sounds like we'll have to wait and see. If nothing else, I assume we'll see tuning options for the 335IS before we see products for the N55 motors, since the 335IS is just a variation on the existing theme... My only concern is that the production numbers may not be big enough to attract attention from the tuning community....

Nothing. The Procede controls boost fully. It does not piggyback off the factory boost control system by virtue of its CANbus integration. So a triggered overboost event from the factory DME is ignored.

No difference to the standard n54 335. Procede brings both the I and the IS to the same exact level.
