07 CPO. 0.9% APR or $0 maintenance?

Hi guys,

A friend is buying a 07 CPO. Unable to decide which way to go regarding the financing options by BMWFS.

Choose 0.9% APR for 24 months or $0 maintenance till 6yr/100k.

Some specifics

Car: 328i Sedan
Manufacturer's warranty left: 10 months
Mileage: ~35k miles
Selling price: ~23,000
Down payment: 3,000
Term: 24 months (no more no less even if going through a bank)

Is about 5-6% APR from BMWFS worth paying for grabbing the $0 maintenance?

For someone who has never worked on cars before, but is optimistic that oil change and some regular maintenance can be DIY, what is the right way to go? It is really easy and cost effective?

For some, not such a happy problem maybe, as BMWFS advertises.

I would greatly appreciate any comments and/or suggestions.

the 328 is pretty reliable in general as long as regular maintenance is done to it. You will still retain the CPO 6 yr/100k warranty on the drivetrain/engine and could do the oil changes yourself or have a friend do it.

With that being said:
-I would go with .9 financing since the monthly payment will be higher because 3k is your down payment.
