m3 rims

i dont LOVE the idea of spending extra money on stock bmw rims. but i do think the m3 wheels will look very nice on the e90.
where is a good place to look for a set of used m3 wheels. i know there are a lot floating around somewhere. also, whats the average price? and will they bolt right up to our e90s with no rubbing or anything like that?
thanks

yup yup, it'll bolt right on. As for getting used ones, I would try the e46fanatics classifieds or the m3forum classifieds. good luck !

I just bought a set of M3 replicas, but they are 18x8.5 on all four wheels. I found them to be the best looking available for a reasonable price.

dont put stock M3 rims on an E90....
I know people have done it, but to me is seems kinda dumb to put stock wheels from one car on another...
There are however other BMW 19's that are more suited for the E90.

Just got them on. Car is dirty and photos are bad. I'll try to get better ones when the light is better and the car is clean, as well as the camera lens. Sure looks better than the stock 16's.

Nope, just bolted them on. No other mods yet. Had to use the tools/jack out of the Saab since the E90 doesn't come with them.

The tires are Kumho Ecsta 712 supras?, size 225/40/18. I would have preferred 255 width on the back but this is how they came. next replacement I'll make that switch. Shouldn't be that long, we will pile about 25,000 miles a year on this car.

Car grips much better now of course, the stock 16" tires hydroplaned badly my wife said when she was in a storm, and these should do much better in the wet. The car is still quiet and rides smoothly, unlike the Saab 9-3 when we went to 18's that got a little harsh/loud. The car can definitely handle 18" wheels/tires w/o problems.

Ha, I have nothing to hide. They were $1200 plus $150 shipping with tires mounted/balanced from a seller on Ebay. Service was great, btw, they shipped them the day the auction ended and I paid them. Only possible foulup was the M3 stick on emblems that came with them seem to be too long for the recessed area it's supposed to go into. I admit I know nothing of the manufacture or weight of them, but the feedback rating was great for the seller and I didn't want to pay $700 more for OEM wheels I didn't like as much, and certainly not the price for genuine M3 wheels.

I want to eventually get less body roll in turns, so when I have time to deal with it, I'll probably lower it modestly with some new springs.

The wheels are genuine M3 wheels and the finishing color looks like a gun metal shade. Is that the original color or do I have to wash the wheels more?

I have an extra set of the 18' OEM M3 wheels as I put the 19' OEM ZCP Competition wheels on my M3. I was told at the dealership that my 19" ZCP wheels would not fit the e90, but I am not sure they really know. Anyone have any experience with this issue?
