This is begining to remind me of when Shiv was holding the #'s out on us for if the dealer re-flash (cold start issues) gainer or lossed HP!!!!!!!!! This is killing me, why can't the FL crew bring it like the Texas guys did.

I don't know about the 100 octane race gas stuff, but on my AT/Step just on 93 octane, OMG!!!

Stock dyno: 265 WHP / 286 lbs.-ft. TQ

Xede dyno: 322WHP / 378 lb.-ft. TQ, + 57WHP / +92 TQ

This thing pulls like I've only experienced in my bro's majorly modded '91 Dodge Stealth TT w/ over 500HP/TQ. I echo those TX guys who said they feel like they're driving completely new animals now. This is definitely an accurate statement. Let's just say that a stock 335i has amazing power (HP and TQ), but with the Xede, it's a real monster! It's got to be much faster than an M3 and ~ 99% of the cars out there. It just pulls and pulls with well over 420 lb.-ft. TQ (to the crank)! But, you also get the sense that the BMW engineers definitely made the car to handle this kind of power; now we know what this car is really capable of.

I have no idea about 0-60 or 1/4 mi. numbers, but based on stock numbers of 0-60mph and mid 13 sec. for 1/4 mi., I'd have to guess that it's now down to 4.0-4.5 sec. 0-60mph and ~ mid 12 sec. for 1/4 mi.

btw - Shiv was great; he answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable with the whole process. There was a minor issue at first (after the Xede was all done and we were ready to dyno), but somehow Shiv fixed it, and it runs perfectly so far.

The one thing, however, is that for those ppl not that mechanically inclined, there are a lot of wires that need to be unhooked and put back and it can be a bit confusing even if you label them. Shiv's DIY Video should help with that (he said they're almost done with the video, and it will be posted on their Web site). For me personally, I'd say that taking apart the necessary pieces would be easy but putting it all back together with the Xede hooked up would require some good instructions or I'd just let a professional do it. However, once you know how to do it, it shouldn't take more than 20-30 min.

Take it from me, Shiv is way too busy to do any posting right now. This guy is a machine and he has been working non-stop, to the detriment of his health-in my opinion-in order to get these cars tuned correctly, working through the growing pains associated with this type of project, which is still in its nascent stage, by the way.

As far aas the big gains from race gas, I hope dannys335 is reading this because he brought the 103 to the shop and dynoed his car on it on Sunday night; I was not there so I do not know the numbers exactly. Howvere, if I can just get people to put the absolute numerical values aside for just a moment, you have to actually drive the car to know what this mod is about.

It absolutely transforms the car. This is not hyperbole, people. The 335i you drove off the lot is a '94 Civic, or might as well be. The throttle response is noticably quicker, which is great in and of itself. But the real change is when the boost comes on: holy sh!t. You had better be paying attention to what you are doing or you can get into trouble quickly. The engineered feeling of a larger naturally aspirated motor is gone. This is a turbo monster, plain and simple. For y'all who are waiting for the Xede, prepare to be thoroughly impressed and completely satisfied.

A car being tuned today has been fitted with a custom downpipe and full exhaust and we are all looking forward to hearing from him how much power he's putting down. I will post more info later but I have got to sleep now...

It was great meeting you too. Good luck. And, yes, you're 1 of only 4 people who've driven my car (my wife hasn't even driven it yet...with all the new-found power, I'm not sure I really want to "try" it. ). btw - now I understand your screen name. Give me a buzz when you get your 335i and install the Xede...maybe we'll meet for a drink.

10whp & 20wtq differences? interesting but assuming gas, temps, breakin, etc are to blame? is there a bonding process?

Also, it could have something to do with the AT vs. MT in the cars.

I had a great time. Shiv and I went to the best steak house and had a blast.
My installation went flawless. Shiv explained everything in detail and the video will be clear on how to install and remove the exede.
Stock I made 275 hp and 301 ft lbs. After the excede I pulled off 325 hp and 377 ft lbs. 50 hp and 76 ft lb gain. Our conditions were not very favorable, it was hot and humid and with colder air I am sure most of us would have made more.
Now as far as the 103 race tune I'll let Shiv explain what happened. I might be wrong but it appears the diverter doesn't like to go over 12 psi. And I'll leave that until Shiv comes up with a solution.
There are also a few other things I feel you should know. Make absolutely sure you run the best gas you can obtain. Also do not touch someone elses car unless instructed to do so from the owner or Shiv. And I feel its very rude to lean on someone elses car.
In closing I can honestly say I do not think anyone will be disappointed with the exede. Thanks again Shiv if you come back to florida let me know and we'll go out for some steak again

Just though I'd share this since it was in another thread...someone was asking about the TQ in a certain rpm range...

How does it feel when you are in 3rd or 4th gear at those rpms while accelerating? It must feel like a huge rush of power surging on... damn... I'm drooling over my keyboard looking at it...
Well, you know Infiniti's "new" little tagline for their '07 Infiniti G35..."Acceleration Swell?" That's a real laugh since I'd say a REAL "Acceleration Swell" is what you feel in an Xede-equipped BMW 335i. The '07 G35's Acceleration Swell is NOTHING compared with the Acceleration Swell of an Xede-equipped BMW 335i. That's the best way I can describe it; it's not like turbo lag and then "hold on," it's more like "step on it and hold on...and then REALLY hold on" as the acceleration and the Torque SWELL very quickly.
