Talking which operating system are YOU using?

alright if anyone is still not using windows 7 GET IT.

It's 100x better than vista
Its 1 MILLION times better than XP

It's fast. It's Furious.

I'm running a version called Windows 7 Tiny, basically a guy has taken the normal windows 7 dvd, he's taken out heaps of components that people don't regularly use leaving a CD size installation of windows.

Takes 15 minutes to install, unattended. Within about 20 minutes you're inside windows doing your thing.

Firefox 4 tabs open, about 5% cpu usage. about 660mb ram used and actually 100 of that is Firefox + GoogleTalk so you're talking 500mb of ram used for Windows 7 that is awesome.

GET IT NOW!

PS: what are you using currently?

LOL did you just figure this out?

You're right. The hype about Win7 being the real deal isn't hype at all. It's impossible to adequately describe the improvement over Vista without sounding like a fanboy, although most of that is due to Vista's own bloated fault.

Functionally speaking, Vista operated quite smoothly. It was still a hog though.

I built my hardware around Vista, and when Windows 7 came out, it's almost like it granted me a bit more longevity out of my setup due to its tendency to run much leaner. That being said, I didn't have a problem with Vista (after patches of course); it's just that 7 is much better.

Snow Leopard. Took some getting used to but now I don't ever see myself going back to Windows on my own computers. Unix based OS FTW!

A month after getting my Mac I decided to try using Vista on different computers around Best Buy. Definitely slower than Snow Leopard but seemed better than Vista and XP.

Should have given an option for Linux and maybe other Linux based OS like Chrome and Android. Vista drug my poor old Toshiba into the dirt. I still have it and I plan on running Linux on it and keeping it as a spare.

Vista was a very adequate system, never had any issues with it. It got a stupidly bad rep from word-of-mouth after a poor WEEK after launch, after which point the system worked great.

I used to work at Best Buy back when Vista launched. That was a nightmare. I installed it first week, no problems, massive improvement over XP, just to hear from every soccer mom that she's heard that Vista sucks and "Bill Gates is a douche LOL"...

This comment makes me question your knowledge of computers/OS'

xp was better than vista.

yes 7 is better than xp

theres more to operating systems than just browsing the web and listening to music.
