in-dash boost gauge + upgraded turbos

This is super responsive, veryyyy cool feature (which will soon be getting even better and more useful)! Great job Vishnu!

... Meth coming soon, this disgusting weather with 80-90% humidity fucking blows.

Nice JP. Nice to have high boost.

TMR, thanks for the post. Good to see the In-Dash boost is hand and hand with the boost gauge.

is the gas gauge designed to be moved like this? wht if it failed? driving around with a broken gas gauge will get you stranded....

I never go by that gas gauge anyways.
I always keep up the "miles till empty" thing

Yeah my miles til empty is always on as well. The gas gauge uses the same type of motor as the tach & speedo so it can handle it.

the motor for the gas needle is the same for the one used in the oil temp gauge as well as the mpg needle (328i models). the needles in the latter constantly move up and down since it's based on instantaneous mpg, so it is designed to just that. no need to worry.

honestly, the gas needle is the perfect location for boost as you don't readily need to check the amount of gas in the vehicle anyway. plus, as jpsimon stated, you can check gas levels by the 'miles to empty' in the main readout. also, theres no need to run this boost function 24/7 (although you can if you'd like). just bring the laptop with you when you do need it enables.

Thought I'd post my V4/Rixster gauge comparison vid from tonight as well.

Did a few 4th gear pulls. PROcede implementation was surprisingly very accurate versus the Rixster vent gauge as you can see. Had a camera fail on the second pull, but the Rixster gauge was at ~10.6 there.

Advanced users will still want the features of the Rixster gauge (higher sampling, higher precision, peak recall, etc), but this is definitely a great visual tool for every PROcede user. Can't wait to see future implementations of other parameters.

Kudos, Shiv!

@shiv: im really glad you finally got the implementation down. also interested as to how you and your competitors always seem to bring out the type of update at the same time... it never fails! anyway do you think we can get afr displayed? how about user torque? maybe oil pressure? oh and can it display out to the PSW from bmw?

TMR thats a great vid comparing your dash mounted gauge and the new Procede feature. the accuracy of the Procede implementation is pretty awesome to say the least. Going to upgrade my firmware as soon as it stops raining.
