C2 Design in Tampa; I live in north FL, about equidistant between two Dinan-recommended installers: Tampa and Performance Imports in Atlanta. I chose C2 Design in Tampa and clearly I chose well. Their spotless shop, impressive stable of thoroughbred customer cars and strong Dinan referrals helped with the decision. The install was just over two hours, including spotting and fixing two small, unrelated issues, without charge. The butt-dyno agrees with others with Stage3, CAI and exhaust (408 fly / 429 torque): Pulls like a freight train, particularly mid range. I'm not sure if a stock M3 has an answer for my '08 335i coupe. Is this a plug for Dinan? Sure. More importantly, I have a new go-to tuner: C2 Design. I recommend them without hesitation. I dont like Dinan sorry...their over priced and their parts aren't even that good for less money or for the same you could make much more power

I have dinan on the my current e92, lease is up and will be putting Dinan again on the 2011 e93...I just hope they have a tune for the N55 soon!!!

Dinan paid for warranty work on my car twice already; the higher cost of Dinan paid for itself. I got Stage 2, so only the tune.

what warranty work? I've had my car since march of 2007 and never had a problem. I started to modify my car maybe 6 months after and have been running it hard ever since I first bought the car new

I've run both piggybacks (otherwise stock) and had about $11,000 of work done on my car under warranty.

Pretty major stuff too......turbos, water pump and hpfp.

Even with 20% discount, my Dinan CAI was expensive. On the other hand, it actually does improve performance, which is more than I can say for most intakes.

I agree that most of the cheaper intakes like DCIs to not bring any gains and I know of someone who uninstalled his DCI because the car felt stronger without it.

But a Mr.5-style intake does bring the same gains as the Dinan intake, at a fraction of the cost. Of course, the build quality of such an intake is much inferior to Dinan.

As far as I'm concerned, no one has a right to knock the Dinan intake for anything but being a little overpriced.

The Dinan intake is solidly engineered and provides a clear benefit to the driver

Well, that was predictable: People turning my comments about an excellent BMW, Porsche, Aston tuner shop into a diatribe about saving money over Dinan. Saw that coming. C2 Design is flat excellent; Steve Dinan engineers where others "bolt on and hope" Just count the posts crying about thrown codes and unsuccessful attempts to defraud BMW service centers. Can't afford to buy quality? We all understand. But give us a break the next time you commiserate with wannabe boy-racer about his codes, limp-homes and blown engines (25 "problem" posts in 6 days - wow, must be really good stuff). This post was about good guys, not a forum for....well...
