Squeaking/Claknking sound while reversing

I was doing a couple high speed runs then i pulled over to the side to let the car rest for a while. I noticed while decellerating without pressing on the brake i heard a squeaking clanking sound. I then put the car in reverse and accellerated in reverse and i heard the same sound. It sounded like something was getting stuck in the rear of the car or something of that nature but i looked under the car and there was nothing stuck.

once again, it was NOT coming from my brakes and only happened while going in reverse or slowing down by downshifting

any thoughts on what it might be?

is the "rotation" sound engine speed or travelling speed related?

yeah.. but if you disengage drive (so engine speed falls to idle) and roll at 30mph is the sound exactly the same?

Or is it whilst the drivetrain is under load?

hard to say what else it could be...

Regarding warranty, you need to consult your agreement

But good to know you have a booking already
Let us know what it turns out to be !

Sometimes when I go into reverse I have heard that noise as well. You cant feel it but I've heard it more than once so I'm sure of it. I would take the car to the dealer but I'll be trading the car in soon.

My car squeaks in first gear both under load and not... up until about 20-25 mph and i have no idea what it is either.
