Feeler:quaife Lsd!!!!
bought an LSD off of a fellow forum member, was used for one year from what iam told, but is in great condition and will outlast the car itself .
I just ordered brand new stub seals from Harold at HP autowerks, and they should be here any day now, a 50 USD value. I will throw them in with the lsd cost. For anyone looking for complete tranction and better handling, this is the way to go. Make me offers Last edited by gian335; 07-27-2010 at 12:03 AM.. |

Hi
I'm really interested in it(so much that I finally made an account) but read that some 335i's have a welded differential. Will this only install on pre-welded cars? thanks! |

This installs easier on bolted diffs, But can be done on welded diffs if you find a good shop to dothat. A fellow member named "Dzenno" got his LSD replaced on a welded diff.
To find out if you have a welded or bolted diff, PM Harold at HP with your VIN # and he will tell you wether you have a bolted or welded diff. what year and tranny type is your car? |

Great deal. Someone now told me that the 335is has a diff otherwise I would be all over this.

Hi,
Are you selling just the LSD or LSD with gears (complete unit)? Would you happen to know if this will work in a manual tranny that's bolted and not welded? I'm not sure if that's relevant or not but I read somewhere bolted diffs and welded diffs vary slightly. Thanks. Wil Quote:

it works with both, he's already answered that there's a bit more work to get it installed when you have what you call a welded diff (really its the ring gear or as some call it the crown that's welded on the pinion)...stock diff, once taken out, needs to have its ring gear/crown cut off, machined and threaded for bolts at the tranny shop and then that crown is reused with the quaife unit when this one is installed into the diff housing
