I have ordered the 2011 BMW 335i Coupe on 26th July. I called the 1800 number after few posts from this forum. They told me its schedule for production with no schedule production date . When can I expect the production to start. How soon can I expect the car. I am new to buying BMW. I live on West Coast. What is average delivery time for the people on the west coast? Thanks

I'm in the same boat - I placed my order right around the 19th. I was told there were no more production slots until September (August allocation, September production, for actual delivery in early October). I would imagine your production won't start until September either. On the plus side the car would receive the September changes (iPod/USB and Bluetooth have some changes).

I think the earliest you'll see the car is late September.

Thanks for the info. I spoke to on 1800 number with customer relations. He told me that there are very good chance that i may have the vehicle by mid September. Did you by any chance spoke to them about the same?

Nah I didn’t really bother. Once my CA told me I wouldn’t be getting a slot for August production I resigned myself to the fact that I’ll be waiting a while for delivery. I should have my confirmed production number by the first week of August (so next week basically) – which will give me a much better idea of when to expect delivery. My best advice is to just try and forget about it for now and check back in a week.

I already have a production number and status is 112 - Scheduled for daily production. I don't know what does that mean. But I hope is good. I haven't received a VIN number yet. I am also not expecting much. But tracking the car through different ways seems fun to me. This forum is fun.

Same boat, not floating in water yet

Ordered on 21st July, CA tells me it is scheduled for week 35 for production, which is end of August.

What are multiple ways of tracking the car. I am just checking BMWUSA, track my order. Trying not to bother my CA all the time, after already having given him a hard time.

First 3 weeks of August afaik.

Well my dealer told me I won't be able to get a slot until their allocation for August is release; hopefully I can get into production before September but I'm not holding my breath.

i just got over from phone with both my dealer and BMW 1800 number. Both said my order is scheduled for daily production with no scheduled date. And I asked them about the Factory shutdown in August. Both of them didn't had a clue about it .so is there a factory shutdown or what? this is so confusing.

In terms of shipping time...I ordered a my 2011 335i Coupe on April 26, it sailed from Bremerhaven on May 22 and arrived at Port Hueneme on June 17 and to my dealer (Eugene, OR) on June 24.

I am on Priority 1 will that help, for getting the production started. I was reading couple of forum and found out that if my order is on priority 1 then production and shipping is faster. is it true? or everyone gets priority 1 for there orders?

Priority 1 are customer ordered cars. They're basically cars that have already been sold to someone.

We are currently at late October early November delivery up here in Canada for custom orders.
