ANyone used USAA car-buyin services???
Bout to pull the trigger on a 2011 335. Im a USAA member and they offer solid no-hassle pricing and do all the work for you essentially. For the car i built my price comes in at $700 over invoice which im happy with.
Question is - has anyone used them before? What was your experience? How did it all work exactly? thanks in advance ... EDIT: oh ya and im doing it in Aug before the financing promotions expire ... so im basically using USAA gaurenteed price quote then taking it to the dealer and saying give me that 0.9% rate. Can i even do that?

The dealers need to participate. Both BMW dealers by me do not work with USAA or even costco etc. Depends on where you are. You might need to travel to get it.

Becareful, we don't participate but there is a dealership 40 miles from me and 182 miles from me that do, but when you get there they add in destination and handling, this fee that fee, tons of fees and Wednesday fees. They are hoping by the time to travel so many miles you concede and take the higher price. Someone close to you may match it or within a few hundred dollars to make it worth it.

Just is just my personal experience, from what I've found it's the smaller dealerships and it's either fees or you spend forever "in the box" being hard sold product, etc... You shouldn't be with a business manager longer then 30-40 minutes or more if they're good at paperwork.

it is a certain $$ over cost. You get whatever rate is available.

i did it while they were knocking $5000 of benz cars through USAA. negotiated for 3 days with the dealer on a car, got their absolute bottom line, then walked in with the print out from the USAA website and they matched it in 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure that the BMW dealer you are working with won't want to lose the sale and will match the price, worth a shot. it is also better to buy the car from the dealership you are going to bring it into service for. they always treat you better and are more willing to take care of you if you got the car from them. that is a die hard tradition that will never leave dealerships in my opinion.
