DO people even bother searching anymore? There are a TON, and I mean a ton of threads where people have expressed their likes and dislikes about the new N55... There is even a thread where someone reviews their new N55 with the Beta of the JB3 piggyback...

Please, use what's available before opening a thread.. If you really can't find it, then by all means we will help you, but... If you don't attempt to do what you can yourself, your asking for replies like this one...

Dude, with the amount of time you just spent lecturing this guy, you could've just ANSWERED HIS freakin' question.

I HAVE a 2011 E92 with the N55 engine... had it since April and just logged 2800 miles. I also drove a 2007 E90 with the N54 engine for the past three years. And YES, **I** would also like to see more reviews and reports on the new engine.

Do a search on my posts to read about my impressions so far. I agree with the OP that there is strangely very little info/review information on the new engine so far.

I don't necessarily agree. I do-- and have done-- searches on the N55 engine all over this forum and google in general.

If everyone tried to write about this topic on the same two or three threads, each thread would be 500 entries long and be buried three months' deep in the threads. Same difference.

Like I said, there is surprisingly very little information/reviews on the new N55 engine as it performs in the 2011 1-series or 3-series. You'd think that the car magazines would've been all over it already. (and yes, I am aware of the vague C&D review that came out about a month ago.)

This forum especially this FI threads are geared towards modifications. The N55 is so new that there are not too many aftermarket performance mods available. Once they come around then you will hear reviews of comparison between N54 and N55. It's relatively too new to make reviews. As for stock for stock reviews I can tell you there are alot

My point is that I've done searches all over the entire internet and there is very little initial input on the N55.

We all know that the intial prognosis is that the new engine will not be as easy to chip and mod as the older N54.

But all I'm looking for at this point is an apples-to-apples comparison between a stock N54 and a stock N55. Considering the fact that I've been driving an N55 E92 since April, I don't think it's too early for that at all.

I love not searching for things.

It allows people to ask a question and then get barraged with comments on how they can be a better human by using the search button. It may in fact be the most comical thing in the world. Complete strangers scorning and scrutinizing others while providing no insight to the question. Really, it's how I get to sleep at night. I mean, just writing this is making me feel so good about myself... I really just can't wait to see what people have to say. Even more exciting if no one says anything and reads right over it!

I have had the pleasure of driving many different e90s & 92s - 07 328xi, 09 LCI 328xi, 10 LCI 335i & 11 LCI 335xi.

That answers your question.

Is the thread over now? Should I scrutinize the OP for asking a yes or no question?

Grow up people. If strangers with a common interest can't get along civilly on a message board, I think the world is doomed. At least provide an answer to the question if you're going to take the time to write something.

All I want is to get some good information.

Anyone who bitches about searching-or-not-searching without providing useful information ...

DOES NOT DESERVE TO DRIVE A BMW.
