Nlakind had a custom designed intake manifold on his old 335i, haven't seen any other ones besides that on a car.

Evolution Racewerks is still working on it to adjust the torque curve and have more stable tq up top. there's a thread that I think Fred from EVO RW talked about it.

I talked them about a month ago and they were almost done testing their New Manifold. ER wants to make sure everything is good until they release it to the public. It's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to stuffs like this.

I tend to agree. It's easy to get caught up in buying stuff for the car that adds very little benefit given the cost. If I were to make one it would probably be from carbon fiber vs aluminum. Aluminum likes to hold heat and you can be more creative on the shape and volume with CF.

From what I understand the HPF manifold is going to be released with thier upgraded turbo kit, becuase there will not be any MAJOR gains on a stock turbo n54 with this manifold. To take full advantage of the air flow you need to upgrade the turbo(s). HPF took a very long time to develope the s54 turbo kit, but look at the quality and the fact its the best kit you can buy for the e46 m3 to this date. Im willing to wait, especially because of the new power levels we know this engine can handle now (600+RWHP) Looking forward to 500RWHP on pump. (dreaming) -Travis |
