Resetting of Malfunction Warnings
Anybody know if the malfunction warnings reset automatically, or do some need the dealer to reset them. I hit a deer a few weeks ago and my car is going in the body shop on Monday to be repaired. The deer broke the headlight on the right side and I get an error message that the light is malfunctioning (even though it still lights up). I have factory Xenons, so I guess the self leveling system is broken which causes the warning to come on. Once I get the car repaired, I'm trying to figure out if I'll need to take it to the dealer to get the warning reset, or if putting the new light in will reset the warning automatically. Just want to make sure the insurance pays for any additional dealer charges.
