18" or 19" help

I am going to buy new wheels soon. Currently running style 162's 18" rims.

I am looking to get either the VMR vb3 or the AG m310 but can not decide on the wheel size to get. Please tell me the pros and cons to both... as far as performance, ride quality, and everything else goes.

Thanks

In terms of performance the 18" wheels are going to be your best bet. 18" wheels are lighter and any weight saved will be advantageous. Lighter wheels can improve handling by reducing unsprung mass, allowing suspension to follow the terrain more closely and thus improve grip, however not all alloy wheels are lighter than their steel equivalents. Reduction in overall vehicle mass can also help to reduce fuel consumption. Most people go with the 19" setups simply because they look the best. They are typically a bit heavier than the 18" wheels and have a bit of a harsher ride.

They are both solid brands so in terms of quality, weight and durability, there is not much difference. It really comes down to which design you prefer.

Unless your tracking the car the 19's look the best and still perform great for the every day driver. The only issue is potholes at high speed, which can damage an 18" and 19" wheel just the same.
