XEDE to Europe?

I have been reading up on the XEDE tuning here on the site and I my itch for getting the 335 is getting really strong... need a more practical car than the S2000 anyways

So wondering if the XEDE sold in the US will work with European cars? The gas here is differently rated - 100 Octane RON is readily available here in Greece. It should be equivalent to 95-96 Octane in the US if I am not mistaken. Guess it would just be a programming issue to adjust the XEDE to European gas standards and otherwise it will be 'plug and play' ??

I am sure many other European 335 owners would be interested as well!!

Shiv any plans to ship to Europe and do you know if it will work ?

Thanks in advance!

I'm interested. 98 RON here, but I'd probably stick with the 91 US octane program.

The engine type is not the only thing you should be thoughtful about.
If you check the European car data Vs US car data ,you will notice that there is a slight difference in the horsepower of the cars.
The European ones has a horsepower of 306hp and 41Nm torque (on the clank) while the US ones are 300Hp & something less than 40Nm torque (if I'm not mistaken).

That makes me think that we are talking about a different ECU between US and European cars. Do not forget that XEDE has been designed to "collaborate" effectively with the US-ECUs and it looks like Shiv haven't test it yet on European cars.

Question: Does anyone know (possibly Shiv knows) if the XEDE works properly with the European ECU ? Any European tried it yet?

Xede sounds like an impressive product but we must make sure it will propely work on EU-cars as well.

Are those the same horses? Din? Sae? I would guess Xede is Plug & Play in Europe.

We in EU are talking DIN horses(306), in the USA they are using SAE horses(300) like bnj said. A slight difference in calculating. Engines are the same as far as I know.

here is my prediction.
shiv has a new downpipe and intercooler water spray system for the 335 which gives another 50hp at the wheels at 12psi boost.

My prediction: A set of Wings and flaps that would allow the 335i to fly!

I thought the lower HP rating in US was due to the more restrictive exhaust because of stricter emission controls.
I'm probably wrong though.

But won't it have to be configured differently due to the extra weight ?
