Whats up everyone? I will be going to island dragway with a couple of corvettes to see what the carS have to offer. Has anyone from here been their before? iF SO ANY TIPS.for my car. i have a 6 speed jb3 18ohm, coolingmist 8 nozzle 70/30 ,dci, and raceland dp What would be the best map to use and what u guys launch at? will race gas help any? hope to see some of you guys their

Use map 8.

Clutch out to the point right before the car is about to roll. Keep the rpms in the 2000-2200 range, Feather the clutch out when it turns green ( DONT DUMP THE CLUTCH). Wait until you feel you could go WOT without spinning and go for it.


Dont worry about the reaction time it doesn't effect your ET.

Island on Friday nights has virtually no track prep so you will not get great times. If you're lucky you'll crack a 115-116 trap, but your ETs will be miserable. I am assuming you're going on street tires

run 80/20 or 100% meth, stick with map 8 and no WOT in 1st gear.

no plans saturday so might as well get track day out of the way. i'm not going all out, just 93+meth on 18psi and drags. If I'm stuck in the 12's you're driving down the track for a run or two. You are 75 lbs weight reduction too
