For those of us States-side, a new season of Top Gear (season 15) debuts tonight on BBC America at 9pm EST.

No doubt the most entertaining 1 hr on television... for 'petrol heads' and non-petrol heads alike.

Based on history, Series 16 will likely air in the UK beginning in June of '11 with Series 17 starting in November of '11.

Sucks how BBC America cuts out a lot of the episodes. I heard that won't be true with this series?

Why would anyone watch an adulterated show when they could get the full, uncut version in a matter of minutes?

The "news" section that had been cut out of the US version is a fairly weak segment, IMO.

by comparison to the all the other segments they do, sure its prob one of the weakest but the news is usually pretty hilarious for me. If there was a section they could cut, is the interviews w/ the celebrities, specially since most of the time its some British actor who we have no idea who it is but def leave their lap in the show

I agree with you about the interviews, however, you can't show the timed lap without the interview. It would be out of place.

This. And I'm sure it's a cultural thing but watching how "gay" most of the guests are makes what they do leave in pretty hard to watch. Also none of the chick celebrities they have on are hot except for Sienna Miller who's half American anyway...

I don't know about that - sure, not many on the show, but Cameron Diaz was just on with Cruise last season as I recall. And she looked really good for her age.

I wonder if they're going to kill the Stig this season - anyone thought about that? Considering the Stig unmasked himself recently and is writing a book, I'm guessing they might kill him off and create a new Stig whose identity is again unknown.
