stock angel eyes finally burned out...upgrade time?
Like the title says, my stock angel eyes on my 06 E90 (build date 3/2005) finally burned out on the passenger side and i'm lookin to replace/upgrade.
Just wanted to know if the community has run into problems with upgraded angel eyes and which brand they recommend. Feedback and input is appreciated. Thanks in advanced! ![]() |

I have Weisslicht LEDs too but you can't see them in direct sunlight. Other than that they are great.
Installation took about an hour. Not too hard but the space you have to work with in very small. You need to take off part of your wheel well liner. I think you can get away with not taking it off but the angle you have to put your hands in makes it difficult. Many are probably going to recommend HID, LUX, or OSS. Here are my Weisslicht LEDs: Angels are on...direct sunlight ![]() Covered environment Cloudy/Rainy day |

The issue with any LED AE option in direct sunlight is the fact that sunlight color temp is about the same as 6000K and it washes out the LED AEs. |

I have tried out both LUX H8 and OSS. I'd consider LUX H8 if you want the brightest plug and play (definitely worth your money..however, I don't remember if they are visible in direct direct sunlight).
Anyway, OSS is definitely the best option if you're willing to ship your headlights over. They are complete rings (even though the other ring doesn't look like it), except for the outer ring where there's 1 LED missing. You can't see it in either pictures. |
