^Nope, its a cruise, not a race. There are usually enough cars to suit everyones driving style and the entire group stops every 20-30 miles so you will never get too far ahead or left behind!

Last update before the rally. Couple of things for you all to please remember:
1. WAIVERS: Please fill out and print your waivers and bring them with you. Don't forget because i will only have a limited amount with me. This goes for both Driver and Passenger waivers 2. Daylight Savings: The clock roll back 1 hour tonight so set them appropriately. If you don't remember you will be at the start an hour before anyone gets there. The weather looks great and it seems like we are going to have a good turn out. It isn't to late to get your friends to come. Everyone please drive safe getting to the meeting spot. Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning! |

Hey all!
This has been a little overdue, but it has been a little hectic around here with the holidays and such. First off, on behalf of Royal Flush Rallies and the Golden Fund for Autism we would like to THANK EVERYONE for their generous support and donations for this event. In total we were able to raise $3800 to donate to the Golden Fund for Autism. The fund was ecstatic to hear how successful the rally turned out. We have learned that your generous donations will be going to two families in need this holiday season. We are so happy that we are able to put these donations to good use. It is really something special to be proud of knowing that you all are making a difference in peoples lives. This is what RFR is all about, getting together to enjoy your passion all while support a good cause. It really doesn't get much better than that and we thank you all so very very much for support our cause. (All sensitive check information has been censored. There are several checks there that total the $3800, the large check being all of the cash donations collected from the event) Event Shirts: We still have some shirts leftover from the Rally. Both Long-Sleeve ($20) and Short Sleeve ($10). Please PM me to inquire. We would also like to take the time to thank our sponsors who also contributed to the success of the event. With their help we were able to keep the costs of the rally down for items such as the event shirts, decals, and cards. By covering the expenses of the event we are therefore able to donate much more to the charity organization. Please take the time to show your support for our sponsors by checking them out below. Event in a few words Overall the event was a huge success. We registered just over 100 cars that had participated in total. The weather turned out to be very nice (a little cold, but sunny nonetheless). There were a few little mishaps during the first leg of the run, but accidents happen when you have a large volume of cars together. Unfortunately after the incident the NJ State Troopers caught wind of what was going on and made it a mission to make examples of some of the drivers. To those who were stopped we apologies and hope it did not ruin your day. After we got out of NJ it was smooth sailing all the way until the end of the rally where we were presented with some more bad news. It seems that GPNY is more concerned with making a dollar than holding their word and keeping their reputation. We were promised track time weeks in advance shortly after we arrived, but learned on the DAY OF the event (20 min before we got there) that all of the carts had been taken to an off-site local for an event and wouldn't be returning for 2-3 hours after we had gotten there. Not so much as a phone call had been made to us about this situation so we could adjust our plan. Now I realize we did not have the track reserved as we could not guarantee how many people would be racing, but you would think that they would be a little more gratuitous to a charity event that was scheduled weeks ago who was bringing in business of an expected 80+ cars. Very poor business practices on their part and we were very disappointed how we were treated. Again, we apologize to all of you as I know many were excited to race at GPNY, but nobody had the slightest idea that they would pull something like that. In all though we made the best of it and ended the rally on a high note raising close to 4k for the GFA, that to me is a success in my book. Feedback We are always looking for feedback on the runs to make them better for everyone in the future. If you have any opinions on what was good / what was bad, what we can change or what we can do better, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us to share your thoughts. You can send your feedback to royalflushrallies@gmail.com Some things to consider:
Upcoming for RFR
That seems to be it for now. Again, from the bottom of our hearts, Thank You all very much for participating and making our events a success. Without you we would not be able to make this happen. We look forward to seeing you all next year! Happy Holidays, RFR Staff |
