temporary chips protection
hello;
My car is for sale and I have to do an 8hs. total round trip next weekend and I want to avoid rocks on my hood and bumper. I saw once a car on a day track wrapped up on Kitchen transparent plastic foil - or at least it looks like that - Does anyone know if that could help and or be a risk? comments and ideas are welcome. thanks! |

Every time i go long distance, Painters tape all the way saves my CF from getting distroyed. Looks tacky but hey gets the job done, depending on your car color you can actually order different colors. FYI. for future.

thank you guys.
That Spray looks like a great idea but scares me a little bit.....I guess I will go cheap and ugly with the blue tape. (but safe!) |

+1 on the blue tape - it will work and no damage - I would be a bit afraid of the spray on stuff myself - blue tape is tried and true!

just got back from my trip. I had some questions on parking lots and walkovers, but after answering, they all agree that was smart as a temporary protection.
Blue tape works like a dream! Not pretty though :-) thanks to everyone. m. |

Had it on my old car on my roundtrip to Florida. A lot of people were pointing fingers at us on highway and *twice* I was let go by cops (once in VA no less) cause they thought it looked funny.
