Is "derek w" on here? 11.529@119.371mph

I was looking at "the other forum" and noticed a new entry in their top times thread.

I don't know if "derek w" is on the forums or not. If so, congrats!!! ... I hate you.

Sj - you are trapping a good 4 mph more than he is. Your cars faster, don't worry

Derek has full exhaust, Helix fmic, our meth kit, dcis and is testing baseline v5 6at maps for us. Sorry Start-up... You were overseas when I needed a local 6at tester

And Sac raceway re-did the entire timing system (and added a pro-tree). Which accounts for the slower trap speeds. ETs should be about the same if not a tick slower.

For reference, with the new timing system, my stock 997 turbo ran a best of 11.82@117.8. And a stock, very well-driven 335 was running mid 13s trapping at 100-101mph.

Cheers

No, using v5 launch control. Similar to v4 but with ignition retard at the pre-launch. Just easier on the transmission. Still not as good as the 1.59-1.60 that Startup got months ago but that was after VHT was sprayed that morning. Also, Sac raceway moved their start lights back 2-3 car lengths so you are now launching where you used to do burnout.. Fwiw..

I went to the strip last night and I have a simota intake and muffler delete and I the best time I got was 13.5 flat and I trapped 104.02 with a 6MT. For basically stock I was pretty excited.

@Shiv - no downpipes on derekw's car? 20psi boost? I want details! I just finished demodding the 135i for transplant into the new car and I want to know what to expect on a fair track.

Yes, he had fully catless downpipes. Sorry that's what I meant by full exhaust. I believe it autotuned to the max allowable boost (20psi). Sac reads a lot slower than it used to so, if anything, it's slower than the norm. Those numbers should be do-able at most other tracks with same mods/conditions.

hotrod should run tune only with the new timing system in place. He has a freakshow car if he can replicate that 119MPH trap tune only again.

Also wondering, since you stated (i think) that the TMAP can read/handle up to 22.5 psi theoretically, if you will ever allow that much boost on the Procede in it's current state?

Right now we just arbitrarily picked 20psi as the boost limit. But going up to 21psi should be fine as far as MAP sensor limits are concerned.
