Question Best Downpipes for xi

Looking to do a few upgrades in the next few weeks. One thing im gonna do is install downpipes. I've been running stock for a while and I'm finally going to pull the the string and install a set of downpipes. I need to know which are the best pipes to install for an xi. Do I get them with or without cats?

Thanks in advance

AR design hands down, especially on an xi, install is harder then an "i" and your gonna want the best fitting pipes you can get. go catless definitely

i know **********s is going to have a big black friday sale on them, i dont have our price sheet with me, but i think pm'ing **********s will get you the best deal on them. you won't have too much luck finding a set used unfortunately because they are like gold to the people who already have them.

Take my advice - after doing DPs this weekend with cheaper pipes I would not go cheap again. Get AR or Macht Snell (not sure if they make for xi)...here is what can happen with cheaper pipes...and if your DIY much easier to just pay for top shell stuff

And go catless with the BMS O2 emulator for sure...my turbo spools much more responsive now that my DPs are catless...

Cool.
There is no need for me to add the 02 Simulator if I have the Procede, right?

Someone somewhere mentioned they thought VK was Raceland - do you know whether this is true?

i dont think so, but its possible because they both have them made in china, so they may come out of the same place there. i know AR pipes are like decoration, i can stare at those welds all day long

Kevin is right. They are quality welds and fitment is the best. I took on the challenge and i am so glad they fit the first time around. I would have been so pissed if i bought pipes that didn't fit right. Dp install is straight forward but it's tedious and time consuming especially if you DIY. On XI models fitment is even more crucial because it's much tighter area

you dont HAVE to get them coated, its just a nice option to have to protect them and reduce some under hood temps, most people dont even bother

You should ask what temperature, not what color Choose the cheapest color that withstands about 1700 Fahrenheit...

Was at modmargains and those where the options. I didn't know color was a big influence as I won't see them. I'll like to you get your opinion to see if getting them coated where worth it.

I have felt significant reduction in cabin floor temps but I am not going to say it's the ceramic coating because the elimination of cats also is a big factor. If anything they will help protect Dps from harsh east coast winters!
