Rear fogs e92 328i

I have a question for the DIY of the rear fogs for my car. i got the whole switch off really easy but i just cant get the rear fog button to come off i dont want to pry it and break it is there any trick to getting it off? Also, does anyone know if the e92 comes with the plastic piece for the rear fogs or do i have to fabricate something to make it work?

To get the rear fog light button off, you need to take the switch apart. All the parts come off easily and you can then get to the inside of the switch to see if you have the plastic part inside or not.

Cutting the tabs only allows the rear fog light button to be pressed in to activate the rear fog lights. My 07 335 didn't have the plastic piece inside so instead of making a part myself, I bought the euro switch. I sold the plastic piece from the switch that activated the front fogs to someone who wanted to mod his stock switch so it offset the cost of the new switch a little.

Look at it from the front, you will see little black tabs holding it to the body of the switch. You need to cut these off to free the switch.

I just did my switch tonight. It'll be easier to cut the tabs once you've taken out the button.

I've got an extra white plastic piece for sale. I bought an extra one for a friend but he doesn't want it any more. I'm selling it for what I bought it for. $20 shipped.
