Gloss Or Matte?

Getting my grilles painted but I'm not sure what black to go for. I want a classy look for my car (E90 in black) anyone got pics of gloss and matte grilles?

what do you guys think would look better?

Matte fins and keep the outer ring chrome. A black car needs accents and contrasts. Blacking out a whole car is meh...

I'd say gloss... Looks like it's part of the design. Most people driving around don't get the concept of a "not shiny" piece of trim on a car, and don't view it the same way you would. Additionally, gloss looks SO hot on the 335is.

Good call. I'm just a bit unhappy that BMW would make their 'Performance' Black Grilles not completely match my Jet Black car.

If I'd known they didn't match, would've probably gotten the painted ones for a bit more but a perfect match.

Gloss looks more classy and matte looks more aggressive and gives contrast.

Meh I went CF grills on my JB. Still has that blacked out front end look and different without being ricey. Only CF on the car.

Since your car is black.. I would go with matte for the contrast. On any other color, I would do gloss. I personally have monaco blue, which is a very dark blue and first did matte grilles. later on, I switched to gloss black grilles and couldn't have been happier. you can't go wrong with either!

Not much difference between gloss, and matte IMO.
I went for matte, and I am very happy.

Gloss is like more shiny I guess.

Black is black. Way better than silver.

I kept the chrome (stock) kidneys for the contrast on my black 335.
I love it.

I have black sapphire and got matte grills. I didn't like it as much as I had hoped so painted the outer portion black sapphire keeping the matte fins. I like it much better. You can't really go wrong though...

Gloss is like more shiny I guess. Black is black. Way better than silver. I kept the chrome (stock) kidneys for the contrast on my black 335. I love it.
