Smile H&R Sport Spring installed pics

Hello guys,

Here are some pics of my 330 with H&R sport spring. The ride has stiffed a little bit; however, the handling of car has improved..less body roll and feel more stable during hard turns. I think the drop is perfect, not too low, and the car looks more sporty now.

Steve

It's a 1.3" (front)/ 1.2"(rear) drop.

looks great and I bet the performance is there too ! I bet with that level of lowering it would work best with 19" wheels

You were riding on the factory sport suspension before right? This is a bit off topic but has anyone heard of Dinan coming out with any suspension systems for the e90 yet?

Nice looking drop. Are you planning on putting some nice wheels on your ride?

yes, my car has factory sport suspension before the drop. I acutally have already ordered a set of 19" DPE R20 forged wheels last month. It take them about 8-10 weeks to build the wheels. So, i am expecting to see them probably next the mid of Oct. The wait is killing me...

Thanks!! The set up is 19X8 and 19X10, and the finish is Titanium Asphalt. I am thinking about getting the new Toyo T1-R. I was in the latest group buy from last month. The deal was pretty good. I will post the pics when I get the rims.

I think the drop is low enough for me... The wheel gap only has like 1 finger space left. I paid about $330 for the installation with aligtnment together by the way.

OUCH....$1200 for .5 drop? that is definitely NOT worth it. the only reason why i'd consider Dinan is to avoid getting my warranty voided. my rep from Stevens Creek BMW (sj, ca) has been giving a bunch of BS in terms of warranty and since I paid for extended warranty...i really don't want to muck with it.

for that price...i am now leaning toward getting some coilovers as well.

Nice choice in the finish!

Was the group buy through e46fanatics.com? How much did you save going through the group buy?

and definitely looking forward to seeing your pics!!!

yes that is true about dianan. bmw dealer will honor the warranty, but only the one that is a dinan authorize dealer would honor it. as far as dropping the car, the only waranty wold void is your suspension. but i figure if something goes wrong just put the stocks back on.

hmm. I was going to go for Eibach Pro-kit(1.2F/1.0R), but if
1.3F/1.2R drop is only that much, I guess i'll settle for H&R sports..

The drop looks nearly perfect for my taste, do you have any better/bigger
side pics of the car? so I can clearly see the drop difference and compare
front and rear drop?

thanks!

This is info from tirerack about the Eibach Pro-kit:
Note: Avg Low 1.2"F 1.0"R
Lowering dimensions are based on models without sport suspen sion. Sport models will receive minimal drop increase from sport ride height.

If you already have the sport package it doesnt look like hte eibachs will do much!
