Hey guys quick quesiton about the 3m double sided tape or any other kind of tape used by body shops If i use it to stick down the oem trunk spolier is there any way of taking it off 2-3 yrs down the road with out the paint on the trunk getting messed up?
say if i use a blow dryer / heat gun to take it off? also will the 3m tape be strong enough to hold the spolier in place? TIA |

I believe you can just use dental floss or some sort of string to slowly peel it off. The 3M tape is super strong.

I've never had to do it but I believe if you CAREFULLY use a hair dryer and heat gun with dental floss and possibly some Goo gone, it can be removed without damage to the paint.

i suggest you wait until its warm or in a very heated garage...3M tape is only suitable to 'cure' in temps above 15C or so...so definately not the temperature we are experiencing in TO right now
