Any other mods on your car? This is on a dynojet at Harman right?

Wondering what the Steptronics are putting down on that same dyno. From what I've seen, it's about 10-15 whp lower than the manual.

huge improvement and worth the money.... car freakin screams on the freeway. and on the street you can not hook up first gear for the life of you.

everyone else from the tune post your results.

Are you a sedan or coupe? does it now "feel" like a turbo car? Coming from a chipped S4 myself. really lost the smoothness of the engine when in chipped mode, wondering if you feel it now.

can feels exactly like a chipped b5 s4 with all the bolt ons.

100% for sure an easy mid 12 second car with good traction...i will be anything on that.
Wow! 350wtq vs. 380wtq? That's a big difference! Any thoughts from Shiv on why?

Will buying a PROcede and hooking it up without a custom tune give me comparable results? (I might need to ask Shiv directly)

Hey CEA, a few questions:

1) What do you mean can't hook up 1st gear on the street? Are you saying its impossible to get traction with all that torque?
2) By Shiv saying the Procede will recognize up to 93 octane with the 100 gas, is that saying that even with the 91 map, its adaptive up to 93 octane?
3) Excuse the ignorance, but what is the % loss to the wheel on those #'s, i.e. what does 330hp translate into?
4) Care to trade a ride in your car for lunch someday? I'll be more than happy to subsidize a beer and a burger for a ride in that beast.

Nice to hear I am up tomorrow in my step. Although I added cheap and heavy 19" rims I wonder how much slower I will be compared to the other step today...

It's impossible to speculate without seeing the torque curves of the 2 different cars.

Big props to shiv for tuning all the cars hes doing. it just get so damn repetitive doing x amount of cars, esp by youreslf.
Great guy!

1) CEA 3: 330whp and 380wtq
2) Walked U : 330 rwhp and 370 wtq, 91 octane, everything else stock. Stock numbers 272 rwhp and 282 wtq

I'll see you tomorrow... just picked up my coupe from the body shop after some moron backed his SUV into it. So I'll be sporting a new front bumper, fixed hood, mis-aligned adaptive cruise control, and new painted e92 reflectors. But unfortunately have to wait for the replacement aerokit front end.... :-(

[QUOTE=slubu;691252]Hey CEA, a few questions:

1) What do you mean can't hook up 1st gear on the street? Are you saying its impossible to get traction with all that torque?

I have traction problems with my stock Step 335i. So it's pretty much a given.

2) By Shiv saying the Procede will recognize up to 93 octane with the 100 gas, is that saying that even with the 91 map, its adaptive up to 93 octane?

Probably uses the ECU's knock count/sum feedback to adapt to a more agressive timing map.

3) Excuse the ignorance, but what is the % loss to the wheel on those #'s, i.e. what does 330hp translate into?

On a dynojet, with the manual trans, I'd say add ~380 hp at the crank. You can never get an accurate figure due to many variations. And it's not a straight percentage either (drivetrain loss), it's partially static and and partially relative. But based on my experience, 380 is a good approximation.

Sweet, everyone who attended today post your pre and post results. I can throw it into excel and make a "general" progression curve and % increase based on those #'s and we can compare them across the board for all 19? people who are attending.
