No...I've had no problems at all. The AT manumatic shifting "jerkiness" I experienced at the very beginning lasted only about 1 week as the my car's ECU and TCU adjusted to all the new found HP/TQ.

However, with all that said, I'm still very much looking forward to installing the PROcede as I've heard nothing but positive things about it; even other XEDE beta testers like AHY and PresMat have said that the PROcede is definitely better and offers even more HP/TQ than the XEDE! As soon as I get my PROcede shipped to me and installed, I will post up my impressions as well.

My 335i is the AT, and no problems...it's ALL good!

I have the AT and have the exact same issues that AHY had. The problems are frustrating, but not so much that I was willing to take the XEDE out. I can hardly wait to get the Procede installed

My impression is that most people trust that ZF overbuilds their stuff enough to handle the increase in torque. The automatic transmission is rated at 331 lb.-ft. and the PROcede is running up to 400 lb.-ft. through it.

Shiv seemed to think that it could handle the extra 20%. I suppose that only time will tell. If the transmissions start grenading, this forum will be among the first to hear about it.

Thanks for the input. I'm getting the Procede... I'll worry about the tranny if it does explode. I just was wondering if anyone had reason to be concerned.

Ok, I love the XEDE so much, I didn't want to rain on the parade. But since AHY took the leap to post this thread, I will chime in with my feedback as well.

I've only had issues with #1. My car also goes into limp mode if I accelerate moderately hard (hit 1/3rd throttle quickly) on a cold start. I need to be real gentle on the accelerator until the oil temp warms up a bit. The problem goes away after the oil temp reaches the 1/3rd mark.

I intentionally tried to reproduce this problem on a separate day, and was able to trigger the limp mode from cold start at will. The external temperatures at the time were 37F-40F. Seems like an AT issue only.

However, I have no complaints, and tacked it up as a beta issue which I fed back to Shiv. Thanks Shiv for teaching us how to get out of limp mode. Still a completely satisfied customer.

I wonder if this problem goes away with the PROCede? If yes, why?

I bet your cold start limp mode issue has something to do with the feature of the 335i ECU limiting boost before the engine is warm, and the XEDE's map not being able to input/output numbers in that range, and the whole thing gets cornfused.

BMW sells in Europe a 335d (diesel) whose engine produces 428 lb/ft of torque. BMW announced that its 6-sp MT was not up to that kind of torque and consequently does not offer the 335d with a manual gearbox.

I guess it is us, the ones with the 6-sp manual, that should be worried!

accutally, the 335d uses a different Tranny (HP21?) than the 335i (HP19?).... If shiv hasnt slipped his clutch yet, I dont thing anyone else will do it for a long while....

The 335d uses the 6HP28. Which is a very beefy automatic transmission. It can handle up to 700n.m (516 ft/lb).

The 6HP19TU is the same as the 6HP21. BMW calls it the 6HP19TU and ZF calls it the 6HP21.

BMW uses the ZF G 6-speed manual transmission in the 335i as well as the 330d and 330dxi. The 330d is rated at 500nm (~370 ft/lb). I am sure that it can handle the power from the 335i just fine.

Nope... it has nothing to do with that. Just an issue with the Xede. This was one of the things we addressed with the PROcede.

Interesting, b/c I never had that problem, and mine is also an AT as well. Did you correct in the XEDE before you got to us in S. FL or was it just corrected with the PROcede?

Nope.. the shortcoming in the hardware was/is still present. It just didn't manifest itself in every car. I'd say 1 out of 4 beta xede cars ended up having some sort of sporatic CEL issue. All fixed with the PROcede of course
