vorsteiner trunk crack question

hi guys i have the vorsteiner single sided 1v1 weave cf trunk for my e90 lci. i just painted and installed ti and the shop told me that the plate where the latch is will crack easily so im advised not to slam it. has anyone ever encountered this? its that little area where the latch on the trunk is mounted too. should i tell them to help me reinforce it?

Nothing to worry about, I've never seen that area crack on a VRS or other brand.

if its cracked would itget covered under warranty
