Ive decided to do some cosmetic work on the car... this time around being that the performance side of the car is pretty much FBO+Meth.. so ill be waiting till a ST kit comes out.. till then ill make her look pretty..

My question is whats the diffrence between the JLmotoring/DD highkick/Vorsteiner trunks ?

I rember seeing a I THINK it was white E92 @ one of the westbury meets and the Trunk was PERFECT.. the kick the hight etc was the same that im looking for... i forgot to ask what kinda trunk it was... If anyone knows PLEASE let me know. ( I hope panda knows ) ...

* also ordering a Powerdome hood/Painting the roof black/got a set of coilovers coming in/arkym front and rear CF lips will be ordered in a week/slamming the car on the gold 19" wheels i have/Gloss black kidneys coming in/

Anything else i should be looking for let me know !

Yes.. got a new one on there.. everything went fine/ valves and all were in good shape, nothing bent (thanks God) , Just needed a Better TUNE

There is no difference, I believe its like buying name brand and a generic brand, regardless you can get them in either fiberglass or carbon fiber. Also I can't vouch for fitment on the generic or as most will say "replicas", since every website has their own replica stuff. The only difference I know on trunks are the ARkym or Amuse one which is more square-ish shaped, other then that I don't know...

Yea but i seen 2-3 other E92 with these CSL style trunks and the kick and shape was so awful !! shit look deformed... only one that ever looked nice was the one at the westbury meet...

bro, cause people buy the replicas that are like 600 dollars, cause if you look at companies like Vorsteiner and Arkym, their shit is like twice the amount of that....same with the hood I mean i got mine for a killer price brand new but mine is Vorsteiner Double Sided Carbon Fiber retailing at 1700+. I mean how many people you know are going to want to pay that much for a hood?

Thats true, but ive noticed theres not much of a diffrence in design when it comes to the Hood.. only thing would be fitment, but a good body shop WOULD be able to fix that... i dont mind spending the extra money on the trunk, but its gatta be the one i seen on that white E92... i dont want to get stuck with the duckbill looking ones. (I belive in spending the money 1ce and spending it right then having to do it twice)

The DD bootlid will fit like shit. Go with either the JL Motoring or the Vorsteiner, and you should be in good shape. People say Vorsteiner has the best products, but that's not always true. I've seen some Vorsteiner products that fit like shit (hoods, trunks not lining up, etc...) It's really a hit or miss with aftermarket parts.

I suggest buying whichever bootlid you see that LOOKS how u want it to. as far as fitment goes, theres MAC for that!

i actually have my own shop, and we do body work as well... i got into a accident kinda like how your car was hit in the quater.. but harder.. its being taken care of right now.. ill post up B4 and after pics.
