328xi Wagon Lease
This is my first time leasing and I would like to lease a 328xi Wagon for my wife.
We went to the dealer today and we are still undecided on the configuration of the car but the dealer gave us the following numbers: Money Factor .00125 Residual 58% I can't find the lease rate info for February 2011, but it appears that the base MF for January was .00105. Should I push for a lower MF? They didn't mention anything about MSDs. I live in NH, is this an option here? Thanks |

Superbrew,
Your dealer is marking up the MF. The BMWFS MF for that car is still .00105 for 36 month lease. And, depending on how many annual miles, the residual may be even higher. I am leasing a new 328xi sportwagon with the .00105 factor and my residual is 61% (10k miles/year increases the residual). Also - check the lease acquisition fee. BMWFS has it at $725. Your dealer may be hiking that up too. The MF should DEFINITELY be negotiable down to what BMWFS charges. The acquisition fee (if about $725) might be negotiable. Also - check their MACO and advertising fee rates. Sometimes those are inflated. Average in my area is $450 for both. BTW... the negotiated cap cost on my wagon is $500 over invoice. Just curious - what color combo are you getting? Doug |
