What is the fix for the car. I have erased the code. It only happens if i drive hard any other time the car drives great! if i'm launching from a roll. but if i drive normal nothing ever come up. Could bad gas be the issue?

I have a JB4 and dci.

I had this code a while ago... In my case, the fix was simple: I filled my car with the wrong mobil1 oil... Took the car to the dealership, they changed oil and the car never threw that code again...

Although when I first got the code, I thought I had a jammed Vanos solenoid:

After I read that thread, I jumped into the conclusion that I had a jammed solenoid and went and bought two new ones. I still have them and they are for sale

well i am coming close to an oil change hopefully that is whats causing it, because i did add a quart.

do you think i have to remove the jb4 to get an oil change?

That might be it, Hopefully

As for the JB4, I read around here that lots of people go get an oil change with their JBs in and no one notices it. My car is stock so I have no experience with this.
I would say after you get the oil change, if the car still throws the code then yeah, remove the jb4 and go to the dealer, but that's just me

i went and got my oil change done but i didn't take it to bmw. I had it done elsewhere and i havent thrown those codes yet. instead i got 2bfb which could be my fuel pump going bad. I erased it and if it comes back then i will take it to the dealer.
