Back from European Car mag testing
Hi guys,
Just got back from southern california. So if you've sent me a PM in the last few days and I haven't responded yet, hang tight. I should be caught up by the weekend. European Car magazine tested our car for an upcoming cover story. The test consisted of a bunch of road driving and dyno testing at Eurosport (Anaheim, CA). I don't know how much I can or should say about the results but here's some info: 1) The car put down 345-346whp and 391-392lbft of torque (SAE corrected) on Eurosport's dynojet. By comparison, immediately afterwards, a very nice VF Engineering supercharged E46 M3 put down a healthy 390-395whp and 275-280lbft of torque. It sounded really sweet. 2) The Senior Tech Editor said, after driving the car, "The only shame about this car is that more people can't drive it to see how turbo cars should be tuned." He then said that compared to our approach, chip tuning/reflashing seemed to be an incomplete solution. 3) The Senior Editor has similarly positive feedback. Something to the extent of "Holy Sh#t" and "absolutely perfect drivability" Needless to say, I was happy to see our first product for a european car to be so well received by a magazine with a long history of testing tuning products for european cars. The magazines should hit the stands in April or May so look out for it! Cheers, Shiv |

Excellent! Congratulations, Shiv. Can't wait to read the entire review when it comes out. And can't wait to have my PROcede installed!

BTW, can somebody smarter than me shed some light on how the Procede 335 would compare with the S/C M3, given those numbers? It seems that the higher torque would afford faster 0-60 and maybe 1/4 mile times, but the higher HP of the M would give faster top-end #'s. Is that an overly simplified correlation? My little head is thinking that the 335 would feel faster in acceleration, but the S/C'd M would actually pull with more umph at highway speeds. Anybody? |
