New Member with questions on 2011 328i xdrive coupe

Hey everyone..

I'm a new member here. Was browsing around the internet and saw this site / forum, which seemed pretty cool with quite useful info.

Well as you will know, the real purpose for me joining this group is that I bought my BMW 328i xdrive coupe in January and I'm super excited. I haven't received the delivery yet. Like many, I'm getting anxious and impatient.

It was a tough call between Audi A4 and this, but I settled for a bimmer.

My car is 'en route' per BMW owner circle site, but I don't know what that means really. The status was changed yesterday. Anyone know if that site is delayed by few days (I have read that it is, but am not really sure)? Also, who updates that site? Is it the dealership sales guy themselves as they get updates, or is it automated from other sources?

Also anyone know how long it takes from "En Route" status to the Performance Center in East Coast USA (NJ / NYC)?

even I chose my 328xi over an A4! Great choice, I was thinking about it today and I dont regret it at all! Welcome!

thx for the welcome. I don't think I regret either..I love those led lights on a4 and some internal structure but aside from that, bmw rides outstandingly. I just couldn't resist.

I'm with you. After driving a 335 vs S4 back to back I went with the bimmer. I'm still waiting to get mine as well. :-)

when did you order yours Tony?
Mine was in first week of January and I'm still waiting! It is En Route though whatever that means. I'm in jersey, and I know the port is here, but this entire process is a bit outlandish to just wait and wait.
If anything I want out of all the waiting game is financing rate to go down 0.9%. That would be sweet and worth all of this agony.

I ordered on 1/28 but the car won't go into production until week 10 ( week starting on Monday the 28th). BMW Apps delayed the order.

I totally agree with you, it takes so long and it's hard for me to wait so long after pulling the trigger. I was just chatting with my CA today, the car takes less than a week to build but 5-7 weeks to get here. I live on the west coast so it's a little longer for me. I hope yours shows up soon!

Patience is a virtue but I need it now! :-p
